This eco-resort is a lodging facility in the Colombian pacific coast that takes active steps toward environmental sustainability and social responsibility by helping its natural surroundings and the local community. The inhabitants of this part of the Colombian pacific coast have been recognized for their interest in conservation, ecological practices, community work, and sustainability. The Utría National Natural Park, the diversity in flora and fauna, and the mountainous rainforest environments having some of the highest rainfalls in the world, have made the coastline of Choco  a leader in ecotourism. Yambera Pacific aims to provide a comfortable educational experience for guests, teaching them about the local area, customs and tourism of observation while contributing and improving the natural environment. Besides the lodging facility representing green building practices, the project includes a proportionate residential area for low density housing, a scaled seaport, and retail areas. Likewise, it includes sporting outfitters and markets for local goods. The goal is to be a leader in environmental stability and sustainable development.
